Low-frequency Ultrasonics

The use of low-frequency ultrasonic inspection technique lies in quality control and quality assurance for materials which are difficult to investigate like wood, concrete, foams, thick CFRP and GRP components. These usually have a high sound attenuation and / or a high inhomogeneity. Mineral building materials and foams can therefore only be investigated with frequencies in the range of up to 1 MHz. An inspection in pulse echo technique is only possible with optimized pulse parameters.
